Yesterday was a busy day at the office but it was a good day, I caught up on quite a bit. Janet and I even talked about the possibility of my buying the business when she and her husband decide to retire. I am not sure that I really want to run another business, but never say never.
After a busy week we went to Greek Psistaria in Brompton last night for dinner with friends, we all shared a Greek banquet. There was far too much food for us to eat and having run a cafe I hate waste, I would rather smaller serves which also encourages your patrons to have more courses. The friends we were with loved the meal, I have to admit it wasn’t bad but we have had better. Anyway the company was great and we had a lot of laughs, mostly at poor Carol’s expense but she can take it, she’s a trooper.
Tonight we were out to dinner again, different friends and another Greek restaurant, Zaks at West Lakes. Tonight’s meal was slightly cheaper and very much nicer. Again we had a great night with Jo and Kate, but then we always do.
The Adelaide Crows had a good win today, a close, hard-fought match, the Brisbane Lions certainly did not go down limping and crying. Let’s hope this is the beginning of a great year ahead for the Crows, there were some very good signs, Brisbane are not an easy tem to beat on their home ground.
I am watching the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and I do not like what I see. The world cannot underestimate this rogue strate, common sense tells you they are all huff and puff, but you just never know as they have done it before. The big difference this time, I do not think China will come to their aid if anything should happen.
Great news from my Son Wade yesterday, he has scored a part-time job at Big W in Salisbury, fingers crossed it will go full-time after his initial 3 month contract.
